meditation and healing activities in the KundaliniYoga House. The Kundalini Yoga Cambodia team also started outreach activities, with classes in a poor neighbourhood school and a Mother and Child Care hospital. Teacher Certification Programme level 1 has started with currently 5 registered students (3 Cambodians) and with a number of regular visitors. The programme is close to expand further into participating in workshop and group activities that focus on conflict resolution, inter-cultural relations, and capacity and identity building for individuals as well as groups. The programme team consists at the moment of 2 international certified teachers, and 3 Cambodian student teachers. Occasionally visiting teachers offer classes. Volunteers give some help to the programme as well. In 2008, 2-3 additional student teachers may join the team. The programme is entirely funded by donations from supporters of the programme. Although some of the offered classes are fee based, most classes are by donation. The international team members contribute from their own resources. The 3 Cambodian teaching team members receive a small, part-time salary only, and additional scholarships to attend the level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Certification Programme. For 2008, the team is looking for financial support to fund the activities in the Kundalini Yoga House, the Teacher Training scholarships, and to fund teaching activities that reach out into Cambodian society. The estimated needs for 2008 are: * Kundalini Yoga House US$ 5000 * Scholarships US$ 5000 * Outreach Activities US$ 5000 To read about the outreach activities, click here
